This should seriously be considered the world’s most comforting food.
Ooey gooey melted cheese between 2 slices of buttered grilled bread. Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. has that and much more. You can get a classic grilled cheese or some gourmet sandwiches, depending on your mood.
We started off with pretzel coated fried mozzarella cheese. Served with a warm marinara sauce, they came as round balls rather than your standard sticks.
My friend, Robert, ordered the D’s BSTC – bacon, spinach, tomato, and Gruyére served on grilled sourdough. He also ordered fries.
The bacon was crispy. The spinach was between cooked and not cooked, which added a pleasant texture to the sandwich.
The french fries were perfectly salted, piping hot and came with both ketchup and ranch dressing.
I decided on the Rustic Grilled Cheese Combo. 1/2 sandwich (Rustic White Bread, Smoked Gouda, Muenster and Yellow Cheddar) and a cup of DGC Old World Tomato Basil Soup (extra-virgin olive oil, yellow onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, chopped basil, and butter, served with croutons). It was just the right amount of food.
We were so full after all this, but Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. also offers, soups, salads, desserts, several sides and a full bar.
I would also like to note they have a really cool bathroom sink. You turn the water on and off with the wheel.
